Perhaps many of you are wondering what a big bench is?
Who first came up with the idea of building one? And why?
A few years ago, wandering around Piedmont, we came across a Big Bench almost by chance and it was love at first sight! A few years ago, wandering around Piedmont, we came across a Big Bench almost by chance and it was love at first sight! We discovered the BBCP (BIG BENCH COMMUNITY PROJECT), a non-profit organization promoted by the American designer Chris Bangle together with his wife Catherine.
One of the reasons that led to realize this idea was the desire to support local communities, local tourism and the artisan excellence of the countries where these benches were installed.
Admiring a landscape of hills, mountains, lakes or sea while sitting with your legs dangling on a large bench makes us feel like children, it makes us see that landscape with different eyes … and believe us, that’s it!
Our big bench is inspired by the most characteristic rose wine of Valtènesi,Chiaretto, with a soft color whose hue, in its most romantic vision, is inspired by the wonderful sunsets of Valtènesi and Lake Garda.
As soon as you sit down you will be amazed admiring the splendid panorama that will open in front of your eyes: a glimpse of the Valtènesi of the past, with its expanses of vineyards, olive groves, the soft hills that slope gently towards Lake Garda, majestically dominated from Monte Baldo: on full moon evenings, with the full moon illuminating this wonderful landscape, you will be enchanted!
You can find passports and stamps at our Agriturismo and at the Lauro Osvaldo e Cesare grocery store, located near the Church.

Access to the bench is free and is not subject to time limitations.
“Not a private installation, but part of a collective experience that everyone can share and experience by coming to these areas.”

We ask everyone to respect the environment: do not abandon waste, do not damage the bench, do not create dangerous conditions for you and for others!
Camping or bivouac is prohibited, fires cannot be lit!
